Dr. Ardis C. Martin, MD is a Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist with clinical experience specializing in pediatric and adult psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic techniques.
Dr. Martin obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Philosophy at Boston University and her Medical Degree at Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University (formerly Wright State University School of Medicine).
Dr. Martin completed her Adult Psychiatry Training at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and her Child and Adolescent Training at the Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital Fellowship Program in Boston.
Dr. Martin has experience and interest in working with patients suffering from anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, and child and adult ADHD. She enjoys helping adolescents, young adults and their families manage and balance the stress, challenges, and obligations involved as they transition from high school to college, with a particular interest in college mental health.
Dr. Martin resides in Colorado Springs and is looking forward to providing private psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults in her community.
Dr. Martin is active with the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center Department of Child Psychiatry, serving as a community advisor and lecturer.
Dr. Martin also has special interests in cultural issues, media, and music and their impact, interplay, and uses in the treatment of psychiatric illness.
Her outside interests include music, writing, and the arts.
